Two Thousand N8teen is off to a absolutely fantastic start (for me). This last Saturday I joined my friend Marc Roberge from the successful band OAR for a quick studio sesh with the boys. We were working on a new song that you can hear an excerpt of below, and let me tell you, it’s FIRE. So naturally, knowing I’m a top 5 Tambo player in the biz, they had me hop on the track to bring the jingles, and bring the jingles I did.

I mean if you told 17 year old me, blacked out on the lawn of an OAR show, that one day I’d be playing with the band, I’d have punched you in the face. Not really because at 17 I was like 120 pounds, but theoretically speaking, I would have had a hell of a reaction. And now at the age of 29 years old I’m jamming with Marc, Jerry, and Jon. I’m not saying I’m officially a member of OAR now, but I’m not saying I don’t expect checks for Spotify spins in my mailbox every month. And since Saturday, I’ve had all the biggest bands in the universe blowing me up, trying to get me in studio to play the tambo. I’m like “no Paul (McCartney), I can’t play in the Beatles reunion, sorry Mick (Jagger), my schedule is packed, not this time Fred (Durst), I need to blog.

Can’t wait to tour with the fellas this Summer. Tambourine’ing my ass off. It’s what I was put on this Earth to do. Can’t wait.
