NY Post - People who sleep more than eight hours a night are more likely to die young, a bombshell study has claimed.

Those who always make time for sleeping in could end up with a “serious sleep disorder” that disrupts their breathing.

Keele University researchers analyzed the sleep quality of three million people from 1970 to 2017. The review was published in the Journal of the American Heart Association.

Scientists from Manchester, Leeds University and the University of East Anglia found those who slept for more than eight hours would increase the risk of heart disease by 44 percent.

Lead researcher Dr. Chun Shing Kwok told the Mirror: “Our study has an important public health impact in that it shows that excessive sleep is a marker of elevated cardiovascular risk.”

But scientists did not find a difference between those who reported sleeping between seven and eight hours and those who got less than seven.

You know where you’re going to find me every night at 10pm? That’s right, in my bed, snug as a bug in a rug. Lights off, sleep mask on, ear plugs in, and phone turned off. Absolutely cannot have any disruptions from getting a full 8+ hours of sleep every night. For sure never drinking coffee again, wouldn’t want to risk it. Any breaking news or west coast sports will just have to wait until morning. And weekends? Well as we know, SAFTB aka Saturdays Are For The Bed. Can fuck around and squeeze in 12 hours of sleep Friday night and Saturday nights. Really get a head start that way. So shout out to this study. I always thought getting a ton of sleep was great, and now I know it is.
