Vote For The AFC West Ultimate Teams: RB

AFCWestUltimateTeam

I’ve decided to start a new blog about my beloved division where you, the common people, decide each teams all-time roster. Because it’s involving 4 teams, I’m going to go position by position and week by week, varying the amount of choices in the pool. Like always with my polls, if you got a big ole poopie in your diaper about your go-to choice not being included, write it in. I may also use the final results for each team in a separate vote to build the ultimate AFC West roster.

We’re starting off with a bang, picking the best running backs from each franchise. I have 5 legit choices for each, as well as a throwaway pick player I like.

1. Chargers:

Pretty simple choice here. A bunch of olds all reaching from the bottom to the player with the 5th most yards from scrimmage in league history for any position, the second most rushing touchdowns in league history, and the third most total touchdowns in league history. Oh and the record for most rushing touchdowns in a season. Little fun fact, LT also threw as many touchdowns (7) as Jimmy Clausen did in his career.

2. Broncos

I’m sort of torn between Davis and Portis because that time the latter scored 5 touchdowns in a game is stuck in my brain. Absolute electricity. That said, Davis was way more of a Bronco and holds the team rushing records in yards (7,607), Touchdowns (60).

3. Chiefs

The first of two appearances for Marcus Allen, I’m partial to Priest Holmes here. He’s second in franchise yards (6,070) to Jamaal Charles (7,260), but is in the clear lead for touchdowns (76). He also only fumbled 11 times to Charles’ 26 times.

4. Raiders

This has to be Marcus Allen, right? He’s obviously way more of a Raider than he ever was a Chief, regardless of being top 10 in franchise rushing and TD’s for both teams. He holds the franchise record in yard (8,545) and touchdowns (79). He also holds the NFL records for most seasons with a rushing touchdown (16) and the oldest player to score 10+ touchdowns in a season. He was also the first NFL player to put up 10,000 rushing yards and 5,000 receiving yards in his career.

I’ll have the results next week, along with the next group of selections. Will it be WRs? Or will it be kickers? Tough to say. Don’t forget to subscribe to Lights, Camera, Podfollow us on Twitterfollow us on Instagram and join in on the conversation on our Reddit.
