John Sterling Just Had An All Time Awful Home Run Call On Giancarlo Stanton's Single Off The Monster

Oh John Sterling what are you doing?!?! Much like everyone, Sterling thought the ball was gone off the bat of Giancarlo Stanton. Onto the highway, into Rhode Island, we thought that ball was gone.....until it hit 15 feet up the Monster. Then we all realized the camera man was messing with us and that ball was only a single, but Sterling was already too committed to the call. He just kept reading the script. "A STANTONIAN HOME RUN!" lol come on man, look at at the field for me one time! I originally thought that he was still in New York calling the game, which would have been an okay excuse because he's watching it on a monitor like the rest of us. Except.....

HE'S IN THE BOOTH! HE'S IN THE BALLPARK! Johnny boy, what a bad call! He was more worried about what his call was going to sound like on radio than if the ball actually went out of the ballpark. He said it was out of the ballpark! And then his "what did I do wrong?" was a great moment too. It took him that long to look up and realize Stanton wasn't jogging around the bases and was at first. Unbelievable moment for John Sterling.

Make sure you're watching the stream as well, lotsssssss of yelling going on here between these guys. It's must watch.
